I am an Acupuncturist and Holistic Health practitioner, trained in Santa Cruz by some of the nation's leaders in Integrative Health. My roots in healing were planted when I began learning about the enormously rich array of herbs that grow locally, and how to use them as food and medicine. This passion continued to blossom as I expanded my studies in herbalism, nutrition, energy work, and acupuncture.
I specialize in Chronic Immune, Pain, and Fatigue challenges, and focus on whole body wellness and individualized health care. Through overcoming my own complex health challenges, I have accumulated a wealth of experience and information that I consider a gift to share.
Consultations include medical history, constitutional evaluation, personalized nutrition, herbal, and supplement protocols, exercises and other therapeutic recommendations. Acupuncture sessions include integrative Meridian Source Wellness therapeutics and are transformative, meditative, and help bring the entire body and being back to balance.

Dorthy Burl Wood
Clinical herbalist, musician, textile artist
Modalities Offered: Herbal Consultation
I am a community and clinical herbalist, with the basis of my work in providing accessible and supportive healthcare for folks of all ages and backgrounds. The modalities I draw from are that of traditional Western herbalism, specifically the medicine of pre-industrial England, Scotland & Ireland, and southern folk herbalism, eclectic herbalism, energetics and phytotherapy. For consultations, I offer sliding scale and ask for a donation for the medicine to cover the cost, and this helps because the majority of the work I do is volunteer and for free. I focus on the bodies’ innate drive towards healing oneself, and supporting body systems so there is space for the whole being to come into balance. I do not body shame or blame.

Licensed Bowenwork Practitioner
Modalities Offered: Coaching, Energy Healing, Bowenwork
Rachael Williams is a certified Bowenwork practitioner as well as a student of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has always been drawn to the healing arts and loves to be able to help people cultivate a sense of peace (physical and non-physical). Bowenwork has been likened to the homeopathy of bodywork; it gently stimulates the body to heal itself. Bowenwork primarily works within the fascial system and through direct, hands-on stretching of the tendons/muscles at various attachment sites, instructs the central nervous system to check in with the tension levels at these location. If there’s an imbalance in the way the structures are being held, the body will adjust itself. Bowenwork, in addition to being powerful for alleviating chronic pain and misalignments, is incredibly nourishing for the nervous system–helping the body enter and stay in a state of parasympathetic (rest and digest) dominance. Beautiful treatment for trauma.
Additional Information: Rachael requires a virtual session with all new clients prior to scheduling in person services. Reach out to her directly to schedule your virtual session.
