CARE (Community Alliance for Resilience and Equity) is a collaborative project by three organizations — Livity Rising, Acupuncturists Without Boarders, and the Integrative Healers Action Network - whose partnership was forged helping California communities heal from the 2020 CZU fires.

Today, we bring our shared knowledge and experience directly to farmworkers and other vulnerable communities on the Central Coast who are affected by disasters, environmental devastation, poverty, and social injustice. We work alongside social and cultural organizations already rooted in these communities and show up consistently, so that families can receive care without fear.

CARE provides 3 monthly clinics offering acupuncture, massage, chiropractic care, nutrition, and self-care education. Our patients report a myriad of benefits including a notable reduction of pain, stress, anxiety and depression. In 2026, CARE reached a major milestone, delivering over 13,000 free treatments.

CARE also recently launched a three-year initiative for adults over 60, with the intention to reduce chronic pain, improve mobility, and support the overall well-being of highly vulnerable elders.
