Charmian Traynor LAc, LMT specializes in acupuncture for pain management, women’s health and Shiatsu massage therapy. Dr. Mariposa has been in private practice since 1988, and continues to travel and teach around the country. She is a sought-after lecturer and has presented numerously at Cabrillo College of Aptos, the Northern California Women’s Herbal Symposium, Dominican Hospital of Santa Cruz, and the West Coast and Michigan Women’s Music Festivals. Nancy Lowe has both a California state acupuncture license and a national license.
She began her career in holistic health over 30 years ago with an interest in natural foods and nutrition. She became a certified massage therapist and soon afterward she was enrolled at Five Branches University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She received her acupuncture license in 1987. She has been a professor at Five Branches University of Traditional Chinese Medicine since 1994. In 2008 after 2 years of rigorous study with many eminent Chinese and American practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine [TCM], which included study at Zhejiang University of Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou China; she received her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine [DAOM].
Nancy continues to study energy and herbal medicine as it applies to the body, mind and spirit. She brings a comprehensive skill set to the treatment room and has the tools to address each patients unique set of health issues from those of the physical body to those of the spirit.

Rachael Williams

Rachael Williams is a certified Bowenwork practitioner as well as a student of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has always been drawn to the healing arts and loves to be able to help people cultivate a sense of peace (physical and non-physical). Bowenwork has been likened to the homeopathy of bodywork; it gently stimulates the body to heal itself. Bowenwork primarily works within the fascial system and through direct, hands-on stretching of the tendons/muscles at various attachment sites, instructs the central nervous system to check in with the tension levels at these location. If there’s an imbalance in the way the structures are being held, the body will adjust itself. Bowenwork, in addition to being powerful for alleviating chronic pain and misalignments, is incredibly nourishing for the nervous system–helping the body enter and stay in a state of parasympathetic (rest and digest) dominance. Beautiful treatment for trauma.
